This area hosts a few events during the summer, including fireworks on Canada Day. They are continuing to develop the area with condos. Parking is free here and the also have underground parking. They have Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Italian restaurants here, along with some dessert shops. I recommend visiting this area.

A place to eat, watch movies at the Cineplex, grab a bubble tea, do some shopping and banking. There are events hosted at the square. Would love for more businesses to open here but for now, it's a great pedestrian friendly hub for Markham.

I think downtown Markham would have so much potential if they offered more! It's a very nice area and occasionally schedules some sort of entertainment in the evening. Yes, there are some stores to shop, a cinema, and restaurants but it's a very quick stroll and that's it.

Downtown Markham is a great place to celebrate special events with live shows and fireworks such as Canada Day or New Year’s Eve. We enjoyed the Canada Day celebration today with Fefe Dobson’s perdormance and fireworks. Apart from that, whether you are looking for options for a date night or family friendly time, DTM offers plenty of good options for restaurants, a Cineplex and the Pride of Canada carousel nearby to take the kids.

A nice neighbourhood complex of retail shops, restaurants, offices, hotel, Cineplex Cinemas and residential condos, with ample parking for large events on parking lots. Busy place for many community events.
